Matthew is the most loving happy guy whose swishy tail is constantly wagging! He loves to play ball and tug, and we're sure he'd be thrilled to play just about any other game, as long as it's with his favorite humans. We think Matthew is part Shar-pei and part Spaniel, of some sort, and he's definitely got qualities of both in his personality and appearance. He's definitely the most unique dog on the block, and everyone wants to pet his smooshy face and silky ears when they see him. Matthew has the social personality of a Spaniel and LOVES meeting new people. But we want to respect his Shar-pei side too, so his future family should be sure they have researched potential health issues and care for the breed in order to keep him healthy and happy. We'd also prefer that he go to a home with older kids, if any, to ensure his homelife isn't too chaotic. Matthew would do great in either an apartment or single family home setting too, given how happy he is to make new friends.
