Jewel

Jewel was found as a stray and ended up in a small shelter here in TX. Shelter staff was instantly smitten and are still stumped as to why no one came for this girl! They named her "Jewel" because she truly is a treasure and a gem. Typically, we give dog new names to celebrate their new lives, but we wholeheartedly agree that this is the perfect way to describe her. Jewel is sweet, gentle with kids, and friendly to everyone she meets! She is nearly housetrained and is catching onto basic commands quickly. She is also currently living with a smaller doggy friend, and has been nothing but polite to him. During the day, she is a typical snoozy, snorey bulldog, loving all of the soft napping places she gets to rest (especially if that spot is nuzzled into the lap of one of her foster humans). Jewel is working on pulling and leash manners with her foster because she's super strong and loves exploring when out and about. Luckily, she's very smart, and we think she'll catch on very quickly.
