Ferris

The first few years of Ferris's life were spent living in an outdoor kennel with other male breeder dog and very little positive human interaction. He arrived at ABR emaciated and riddle with infection and heartworm. But despite all of those issues, Ferris is so gentle and kind to people, even the vets who poke and prod at him. We knew we'd be starting from square one with this boy, in terms of learning what makes him tick and teaching him to live inside a home. So far, he's doing wonderfully with his foster family -- he's playful with his doggy foster sister and curious, yet respectful, of his foster kitty siblings. Ferris is working on house manners, but is catching on quickly, thanks to having another confident dog role model to follow. Ferris still has a ways to go, in terms of medical, before he can be ready for adoption. We also want to make sure he is totally comfortable living with both cats and dogs of all sorts as he starts to relax a bit more in his foster home.
