Having Sam has been one of the most emotionally intense experiences I've had, in a good way. He's the first dog I've owned on my own. I've fallen completely in love with him and he's helped me become a better person. On August 5th I'll be six months sober and Sam has a lot to do with that. I could see in his eyes how worried he was when I was still struggling and it's made me change my ways. He's my angel. And if there's a chance he can still enjoy life, then he definitely deserves it.
