Pam

Pam is a kindhearted, genuine, loving soul with a little bit of a sassy streak, which is why we love her so much.  She was rescued from a very abusive situation - starving to death in an outdoor kennel with another dog (Jim), where they were kept for breeding.  And we can tell that Pam is so appreciative of all the positive changes in her life, especially having plenty of soft places to curl up and nap and all the love and affection she could ever want!  Pam has also just started to play and seems to particularly enjoy playing fetch with squeaky toys (and she brings them back!).  She's not currently living with kids, but her gentle nature and love of all things human attention makes us think that she'd do great with them.  Pam is living with a very curious, dog savvy cat, and she doesn't mind if he's all up in her business.  And as far as dogs go, Pam definitely prefers more laid back dogs and will maaaybe consider playing with them as she starts to get comfortable.
