Joey was found abandoned on a pier in Galveston, TX by a savior who was alarmed at his condition and rushed him to a vet. He was starving, missing patches of hair, and filthy. Despite his obvious discomfort, Joey was immediately welcoming to his new friends and relieved to have a warm bed and a nice bath. In his ABR foster home, Joey is all about playing! It seems as if he hasn't had that much human attention before and is thoroughly enjoying all the love and toys he has. He is VERY social and loves taking walks around the neighborhood to make new friends. Anyone who stops to greet him will get an invitation to rub his squishy tummy and a big, derpy Joey smile. Joey would be the perfect dog to take to breweries or restaurant patios because he loves lounging and saying hi to everyone who passes. He is not currently living with a dog in his foster home, but is non-reactive when he sees them out and about. He is also not living with kids, but is OBSESSED with watching little ones when he sees them outside of his home, and wiggles his little nub tail excitedly if one comes to pet him.
