Foley

(Blaze) Foley is very content with a soft spot to sleep and some kind humans to give him scratches. When he came to ABR, he had never seen a vet or had his bulldog grooming needs met during his entire 10 years of life. Despite being uncomfortable, he has been so patient and grateful for regular medical baths, ear cleanings, and fold cleanings -- even with new friends he just met. Old man Foley is one of our favorite types of bulldog personalities -- happy to laze the day away but will absolutely tell you when he wants something. And usually that something is for his humans to come hang out with him and listen to him belt out his melodic vocals. And if you're lucky, he'll roll on his back, wiggle around, and sing you a different tune. Foley is the chillest dude ever, but can get a little grumbly if you try to pick him up. After all, old man Foley moves if he wants to move and doesn't if he doesn't! For this reason, we'd prefer he go to a home with older children who will respect his boundaries. Foley is also pretty indifferent to other dogs, but is happy to be in their company.
